FC Orange's Jens-Ove Alström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Helge Mickelsson in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Ragnar Vallmark was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fagersanna IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Orange the free kick. Bertil Jakobsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Åke Gustafsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The supporters of FC Orange booed when Fagersanna IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludwig Johnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fagersanna IF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! 44 minutes into the game, one of FC Orange:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Niclas Rydelius received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bertil Jakobsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Niclas Rydelius slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 78th minute. Bertil Jakobsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Åke Gustafsson in the 94th minute of play.
