Rinkaby BK's Anders Falkrantz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Nilsson in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell-Arne Westerberg in the 17th minute of play forced Södra Sunderbyn's goalkeeper Bernt Ahlroth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kjell-Arne Westerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Larsfelt got free with Bernt Ahlroth in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Kjell-Arne Westerberg took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Bernt Ahlroth to make any attempt to save it. Marcus Magnusson charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Bernt Ahlroth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell-Arne Westerberg in the 44th minute of the match. In the 48th minute Filip Sjöman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernt Ahlroth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Rinkaby BK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Södra Sunderbyn were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Douglas Nilsson made the kick off in the second half. Peter Larsfelt took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernt Ahlroth. Bernt Ahlroth dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Anders Falkrantz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Nilsson in the 56th minute of play. Södra Sunderbyn's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Östen Stensson in the 59th minute. The corner ended in Nils-Åke Lekberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rinkaby BK's Anders Falkrantz did a great save. Lars Säf might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anders Falkrantz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lars Säf ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee gave Södra Sunderbyn a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Östen Stensson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rinkaby BK's Anders Falkrantz. 2-3. Douglas Nilsson charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Peter Larsfelt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rinkaby BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter Larsfelt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernt Ahlroth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lars Säf struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Anders Falkrantz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Södra Sunderbyn. After a defensive mix-up in Rinkaby BK's zone, Lars Säf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anders Falkrantz came out of the goal and Lars Säf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filip Sjöman hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Rinkaby BK's Anders Falkrantz got control of the ball when Lars Säf tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rinkaby BK's Peter Larsfelt suffered a concussion in the 98th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 98 minutes, Christoffer Hedlund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Södra Sunderbyn and the Rinkaby BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Christoffer Hedlund hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match.
