The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Douglas Nilsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bertil Jakobsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Nilsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Södra Sunderbyn's Bernt Ahlroth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Helge Mickelsson in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Lars Säf ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bertil Jakobsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Södra Sunderbyn's zone, Michel Danielsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernt Ahlroth came out of the goal and Michel Danielsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the match, Fagersanna IF's goalkeeper Bertil Jakobsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lars Säf. Lars Säf who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Bertil Jakobsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Lars Säf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Fagersanna IF getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Sivert Berggren hit a great ball. The Fagersanna IF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Södra Sunderbyn's performance. The match ended with a win for Södra Sunderbyn.
