In the 9th minute, Ludwig Johnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michel Danielsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Jan-Åke Duset skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Michel Danielsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Jan-Åke Duset made a huge save. When Alexander Göransson fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Heberg's protests and gave Alexander Göransson a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Heberg's Alexander Göransson got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 27th minute Torbjörn Lind shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertil Jakobsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th match minute, Fagersanna IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludwig Johnsson to maneuver through the defense. Christer Nordal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Fagersanna IF's zone, Torbjörn Lind stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertil Jakobsson came out of the goal and Torbjörn Lind tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38thth minute of the game Torbjörn Lind who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fagersanna IF's Bertil Jakobsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fagersanna IF's Helge Mickelsson got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bertil Jakobsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christer Nordal, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Torbjörn Lind left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Heberg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Torbjörn Lind to make the kick off. Bertil Jakobsson came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Heberg's Torbjörn Lind. But to his dismay, Torbjörn Lind quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. A hard shot 58 in the game by Christer Nordal from a close distance when the talented Bertil Jakobsson managed to make a qualified save. Fagersanna IF's players were relieved. Alexander Göransson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Bertil Jakobsson made a huge save. Heberg's Torbjörn Lind got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Heberg's Christer Nordal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. After 70 minutes, Eric Kilman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fagersanna IF and the Heberg players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eric Kilman kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd match minute, Heberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malcolm Alberg to maneuver through the defense. The Fagersanna IF fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Fagersanna IF's Helge Mickelsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Eric Kilman was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. The supporters of Heberg booed when Fagersanna IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Kilman didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christer Nordal got free with Bertil Jakobsson in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Heberg's Torbjörn Lind slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bertil Jakobsson. That made the score 1-5 after 80 minutes of play. In the 85th minute, Heberg's Torbjörn Lind ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bertil Jakobsson. Bertil Jakobsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. Christer Nordal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Bertil Jakobsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elof Olofsson kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Heberg left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fagersanna IF.
