After a defensive mix-up in Vikarbyn IK's zone, Wictor Lundgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vilhelm Lindberg came out of the goal and Wictor Lundgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gösta Kleen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joachim Kjellman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pontus Magnusson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gösta Kleen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Kjellman, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. If Pontus Magnusson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wictor Lundgren made a kick off. When Jan-Ove Hamnberg fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vikarbyn IK's protests and gave Jan-Ove Hamnberg a yellow card for diving instead. Wictor Lundgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vilhelm Lindberg having to interfere. After 61 played minutes Vikarbyn IK got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Ove Hamnberg. Gösta Kleen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pontus Magnusson in the 70th minute of the match. Per-Olof Hagström charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. If Joachim Kjellman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vikarbyn IK's Joachim Kjellman got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kvillsfors's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
