An unexpectedly hard shot by Ola Häll in the 3rd minute of play forced Heberg's goalkeeper Robin Nässén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Genevad's Ove Molander ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Robin Nässén. Robin Nässén yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The supporters of Genevad booed when Heberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Gudmundsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, David Abrahamsson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Heberg's Robin Nässén didn't even have to move. Vilgot Gustafsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Heberg's zone, Ola Häll stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robin Nässén came out of the goal and Ola Häll tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Heberg's Robin Nässén got control of the ball when Vilgot Gustafsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 39 played minutes Heberg got a freekick which was hit by Ted Ekeberg. Ola Häll recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Wictor Nässén fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Heberg's protests and gave Wictor Nässén a yellow card for diving instead. After 47 played minutes Heberg got a freekick which was hit by Wictor Nässén. Vilgot Gustafsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robin Nässén having to make a save. In the 49th minute, Genevad's Ola Häll dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 55 played minutes Heberg got a freekick which was hit by Ivar Hedin. In the 56th minute, David Abrahamsson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Heberg's Robin Nässén didn't even have to move. If Ola Häll had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robin Nässén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ola Häll in the 64th minute of play. Karl-Åke Håning received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ingemar Sandberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 73 minutes, Birger Hermansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Heberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Birger Hermansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vilgot Gustafsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Birger Hermansson fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Genevad's zone, Karl-Åke Håning stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ingemar Sandberg came out of the goal and Karl-Åke Håning tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ingemar Sandberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karl-Åke Håning in the 85th minute. Birger Hermansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingemar Sandberg having to interfere. Per Blomquist hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Heberg's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
