Egil Söderström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Jonatan Vedholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leif Kielstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16thth minute of the game Villiam Vennerdal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Efesspor's Freddie Jansson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonatan Vedholm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronny Björklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 23 played minutes Man united got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Åke Snäll. Jonatan Vedholm didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronny Björklund went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Egil Söderström came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Efesspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egil Söderström couldn't finish the play. 39 minutes into the game, Sune Blixt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Efesspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Man united the free kick. The supporters of Man united booed when Efesspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sune Blixt didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Man united's Aleksander Beneth sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Freddie Jansson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Egil Söderström took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonatan Vedholm. Jonatan Vedholm dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Villiam Vennerdal to make the kick off. The supporters of Efesspor booed when Man united was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif Kielstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alf Bagge charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alf Bagge the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rutger Hjortberg placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After a rather tough play, Man united's Isak Jonsson got a free kick in the 57th minute. Jonatan Vedholm was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rutger Hjortberg. Leif Kielstedt scored 1-2 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Freddie Jansson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Egil Söderström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonatan Vedholm having to make a save. Egil Söderström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronny Björklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Jonatan Vedholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Egil Söderström in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonatan Vedholm saved Man united from getting behind. If Villiam Vennerdal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddie Jansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Villiam Vennerdal, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. If Ronny Björklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Egil Söderström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Vedholm having to interfere. The Man united fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Efesspor were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
