Spectators: 7386 (Terracing: 5541, Seating: 1698, VIP seats: 147) DEF Ye's Patrick Åkerman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kulltorp's Tommy Wassenius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Åkerman in the 6th minute of play. Tommy Wassenius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Åkerman in the 7th minute of play. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kulltorp's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Valdemar Uter was slow to take the kick. During this time DEF Ye's players had a chance to rest. Valdemar Uter made a great header on DEF Ye's corner, it was just that Kulltorp's Tommy Wassenius managed to reach the ball for a save. Freddie Olenberg scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anders Rolandsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tommy Wassenius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Åkerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Tommy Wassenius was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Valdemar Uter. Patrick Åkerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 25 minutes, Edmund Kaxe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kulltorp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmund Kaxe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anders Rolandsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmund Kaxe in the 29th minute of play. Edmund Kaxe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anders Rolandsson having to make a save. DEF Ye's Anders Rolandsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddie Olenberg in the 33rd minute of play. Jan-Olof Askberg hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Edmund Kaxe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute Patrick Åkerman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Wassenius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Kulltorp getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Edmund Kaxe hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Kulltorp defense, Esbjörn Ekström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Wassenius. The Kulltorp fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Wassenius should have stopped the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Freddie Olenberg was the one to do the kick off. Anders Rolandsson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 55th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Kulltorp's Tommy Wassenius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Åkerman in the 59th minute of play. Valdemar Uter hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The supporters of DEF Ye booed when Kulltorp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Kollberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patrick Åkerman took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Wassenius. Tommy Wassenius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. With a little luck, DEF Ye's Anders Rolandsson got control of the ball when Edmund Kaxe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edmund Kaxes short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Anders Rolandsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tommy Wassenius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Åkerman in the 86th minute of the match. If Patrick Åkerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddie Olenberg was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 95th minute. Kulltorp's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Kulltorp's Tommy Wassenius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esbjörn Ekström in the 97th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
