In the 3rd minute, Kjell-Arne Pihlwall left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arvidsjaur IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, Arvidsjaur IF's Bo-Erik Pihlwall got a free kick in the 5th minute. Ulrik Pihlblad came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Ekeby IF's Aron Finsberg. But to his dismay, Aron Finsberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 16 minutes into the match, Lennart Vennerdal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ulrik Pihlblad, 2-1. Aron Finsberg scored 3-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulrik Pihlblad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Ekeby IF's Lennart Vennerdal in the 25th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Ulrik Pihlblad was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Arvidsjaur IF through an amazing save. 30 minutes into the match, Ekeby IF's goal looked a bit too open when Alvar Gustafsson came free, but Mikael Hultman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Ekeby IF's goal looked a bit too open when Sigvard Runeberg came free, but Mikael Hultman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulrik Pihlblad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lennart Vennerdal in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell-Arne Pihlwall in the 37th minute of play forced Ekeby IF's goalkeeper Mikael Hultman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute Kjell-Arne Pihlwall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikael Hultman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sigvard Runeberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mikael Hultman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sigvard Runeberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Bo-Erik Pihlwall's late challenge caught a Ekeby IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bo-Erik Pihlwall helped the player get up and apologised. Ekeby IF's Mikael Hultman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigvard Runeberg in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lennart Vennerdal to make the kick off. Kjell-Arne Pihlwall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Mikael Hultman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Kjell-Arne Pihlwall kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mikael Hultman. That made the score 3-2 in the 64 minute of play. When Sigvard Runeberg, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 71 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Mikael Hultman was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Sigvard Runeberg struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Mikael Hultman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arvidsjaur IF. Lennart Vennerdal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ulrik Pihlblad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kjell-Arne Pihlwall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikael Hultman having to interfere. A collision led to Ekeby IF getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Harry Söderqwist hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ekeby IF's Jonny Vallman got a free kick in the 84th minute. Sigvard Runeberg struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Mikael Hultman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arvidsjaur IF. If Sigvard Runeberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ekeby IF's Stig-Åke Waller got a free kick in the 94th minute. The Ekeby IF support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
