Sigvard Runeberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Erik Löfgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulrik Pihlblad made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Orvar Vennerström sent off a good shot on target. Stig Helander's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulrik Pihlblad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Bo-Erik Pihlwall kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Stig Helander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ulrik Pihlblad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfons Joensson hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. If Kjell-Arne Pihlwall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Löfgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigvard Runeberg in the 21st minute of play. Sigvard Runeberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Löfgren having to interfere. Chelsea FC's Erik Löfgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell-Arne Pihlwall in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Chelsea FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Mathias Rydelius hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Kjell-Arne Pihlwall's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erik Löfgren was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 34th minute Sigvard Runeberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Löfgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sigvard Runeberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 38 minutes, Sigvard Runeberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arvidsjaur IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sigvard Runeberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erik Löfgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigvard Runeberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. A collision led to Chelsea FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Ture Söderström hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stig Helander was the one to do the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Orvar Vennerström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arvidsjaur IF's Ulrik Pihlblad was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stig Helander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulrik Pihlblad having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell-Arne Pihlwall in the 62nd minute of play forced Chelsea FC's goalkeeper Erik Löfgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64thth minute of the game Kjell-Arne Pihlwall who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chelsea FC's Erik Löfgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arvidsjaur IF's Sigvard Runeberg was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 65th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Erik Löfgren came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Arvidsjaur IF's Sigvard Runeberg. But to his dismay, Sigvard Runeberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Sigvard Runeberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Löfgren having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell-Arne Pihlwall in the 75th minute of play forced Chelsea FC's goalkeeper Erik Löfgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Sigvard Runeberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 0-3 became the score in the 82nd minute when Sigvard Runeberg elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Chelsea FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kjell-Arne Pihlwall came free, but Erik Löfgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kjell-Arne Pihlwall struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Erik Löfgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arvidsjaur IF. Arvidsjaur IF played a much better game than Chelsea FC and deserved their victory. The Chelsea FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
