Bernt Henriksson's late challenge caught a AFC Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernt Henriksson helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Mercedes-Benz FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AFC Juniors:s goal. Arvin Björk shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Mercedes-Benz FC's Kurt Helander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Mercedes-Benz FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 80 minutes, Gustaf Örtlund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaf Örtlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kalle Hedlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Helander having to interfere. AFC Juniors's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
