Hårsfjärden IFK's Matthias Valrot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Hårsfjärden IFK from getting a goal against them. Jörgen Lundkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Börje Lundhberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bo-Erik Vallmark. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Börje Lundhberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Urban Adelsköld's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matthias Valrot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Stig-Ove Ahlqvist's late challenge caught a Forshaga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stig-Ove Ahlqvist helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th minute, Stig-Ove Ahlqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johannes Karlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Matthias Valrot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Hårsfjärden IFK's zone, Urban Adelsköld stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matthias Valrot came out of the goal and Urban Adelsköld tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Urban Adelsköld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthias Valrot having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Johannes Karlsson in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matthias Valrot saved Hårsfjärden IFK from getting behind. Matthias Valrot came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Forshaga's Urban Adelsköld. But to his dismay, Urban Adelsköld quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Forshaga's Bo-Erik Vallmark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Sandell in the 29th minute of play. Börje Lundhberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bo-Erik Vallmark having to interfere. Måns Bure hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Hårsfjärden IFK's Kåre Smedfeldt got a free kick in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After 98 played minutes Börje Lundhberg rounded Forshaga's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
