Folke Öman kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Gustaf Hult made a precise shot to the right of Johannes Törnblom. Södra Vi BF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Johannes Törnblom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaf Hult, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 18th minute Gustaf Hult shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johannes Törnblom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Olof Fransson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Blom kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Folke Öman to strike the kick off in the second half. If Olof Fransson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Södra Vi BF's Johannes Törnblom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaf Hult in the 71st minute of play. Olof Fransson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Johannes Törnblom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Gustaf Hult got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th minute, Elfsborg's Robert Blom ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Johannes Törnblom. Johannes Törnblom yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Olof Fransson came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Johannes Törnblom could save by the left post. Olof Fransson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustaf Hult fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Törnblom having to interfere. When Folke Öman fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Södra Vi BF's protests and gave Folke Öman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd minute of the match Elfsborg got a corner. Södra Vi BF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Magne Sjöman ran over to the corner to take the kick. Johannes Törnblom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaf Hult in the 96th minute of play. In the 97thth minute of the game Gustaf Hult who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Södra Vi BF's Johannes Törnblom was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elfsborg's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
