Bengt-Rune Thorsberg missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 11 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Malcolm Ekeberg right hand side. 15 minutes into the game, Claes Björk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seglora's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vaksdal IF the free kick. In the 15th match minute, Seglora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claes Björk to maneuver through the defense. Stefan Vesterberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claes Björk, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Malcolm Ekeberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Peter Elg went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Emil Valrot in the 23rd minute of play forced Vaksdal IF's goalkeeper Stefan Vesterberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vaksdal IF's Peter Elg was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 25th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 28 played minutes Seglora got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Holmberg. After 31 played minutes Seglora got a freekick which was hit by Claes Björk. When Claes Björk was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. Vaksdal IF made a substitution. Nicklas Björck replaced Karl-Åke Mårtensson. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Peter Lenberg took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Malcolm Ekeberg to make any attempt to save it. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nils Samuelsson made a kick off. Malcolm Ekeberg came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Vaksdal IF's Peter Elg. But to his dismay, Peter Elg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Stefan Vesterberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvald Danielsson in the 59th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Stefan Holmberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Malcolm Ekeberg came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Vaksdal IF's Christer Esbjörnsson. But to his dismay, Christer Esbjörnsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. The audience was convinced that Peter Elg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Malcolm Ekeberg was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. A collision led to Seglora getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Stefan Holmberg hit a great ball. The Vaksdal IF fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Vaksdal IF's Peter Elg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 90th match minute, Vaksdal IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicklas Björck to maneuver through the defense. When Nils-Emil Valrot came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Seglora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nils-Emil Valrot couldn't finish the play. 94 minutes into the game, Vaksdal IF's Peter Lenberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Malcolm Ekeberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-0. Vaksdal IF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
