Leonard Alebom didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bengt-Rune Thorsberg went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Peter Lenberg succeeded in the game's 16th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. A collision led to Stehag IFK getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Karl-Johan Sävström hit a great ball. After having played for 23 minutes, Bengt-Rune Thorsberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vaksdal IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bengt-Rune Thorsberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonard Alebom stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter Elg's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Leonard Alebom came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Vaksdal IF's Peter Elg. But to his dismay, Peter Elg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Elg in the 30th minute of play forced Stehag IFK's goalkeeper Leonard Alebom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Stehag IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Elg came free, but Leonard Alebom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonard Alebom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christer Esbjörnsson in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Christer Esbjörnsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vaksdal IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 39thth minute of the game Peter Elg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stehag IFK's Leonard Alebom was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 43rd minute Peter Elg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonard Alebom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joachim Andberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peter Elg in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonard Alebom saved Stehag IFK from getting behind. After the first half Vaksdal IF were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Samuel Fransson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl-Åke Mårtensson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Leonard Alebom made a huge save. In the 82nd minute, Peter Lenberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leonard Alebom. The goal made the score 0-7. Stefan Vesterberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Johan Sävström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Vaksdal IF's Peter Elg in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stehag IFK's goalie prevented a goal. The Stehag IFK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Vaksdal IF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
