A collision led to Grunden BOIS getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Mårten Wiberg hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Oskarström IK's goalkeeper Algot Nilsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arne Öfverman. Sebastian Hedvall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernt Njurenius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenny Gustafsson in the 33rd minute of play. Oskarström IK's Torbjörn Bagge got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Sebastian Hedvall managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oskarström IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Hedvall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernt Njurenius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 38 minutes into the match, Oskarström IK's goalkeeper Algot Nilsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arne Öfverman. A wasted opportunity for Grunden BOIS. 44 minutes into the match, Oskarström IK's Sebastian Hedvall sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernt Njurenius narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kenny Gustafsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Bernt Njurenius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Harry Sjödin to strike the kick off in the second half. Algot Nilsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Sjödin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Grunden BOIS's zone, Kenny Gustafsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernt Njurenius came out of the goal and Kenny Gustafsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernt Njurenius didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kenny Gustafsson went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 70th minute, Kent Godholm got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kent Godholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernt Njurenius having to interfere. Bernt Njurenius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenny Gustafsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Östen Frykberg hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Grunden BOIS's Bernt Njurenius got control of the ball when Kenny Gustafsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 77thth minute of the game Harry Sjödin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oskarström IK's Algot Nilsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 88th minute, Sebastian Hedvall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kenny Gustafsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernt Njurenius having to make a save. After 95 minutes, Jens Backlund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oskarström IK and the Grunden BOIS players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match was over Oskarström IK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Grunden BOIS throughout the match.
