IFK Viksjö's Ola Hammarberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Linus Mårtensson in the 10th minute of play. After 10 played minutes IFK Viksjö got a freekick which was hit by Ragnar Nordin. A collision led to IFK Viksjö getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. David Tingelholm hit a great ball. Orvar Sjöström was extremely unlucky when he, in the 19th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Orvar Sjöström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Ola Hammarberg made a huge save. If Linus Mårtensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When David Tingelholm fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IFK Viksjö's protests and gave David Tingelholm a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Frövi booed when IFK Viksjö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Tingelholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Frövi's Linus Mårtensson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ola Hammarberg. That made the score 1-0 after 29 minutes of play. Linus Mårtensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ola Hammarberg having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Linus Mårtensson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frövi's supporters rose to their feet, but Linus Mårtensson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ola Hammarberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ola Hammarberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Linus Mårtensson in the 45th minute of play. Linus Mårtensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Linus Mårtensson was the one to do the kick off.
