Spectators: 6747 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1697, VIP seats: 50) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bengt-Rune Thedin got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Rudberg in the 4th minute of play forced Åryd's goalkeeper Sven Brodin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. VP Fotboll's Börge Bank proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save VP Fotboll from getting a goal against them. Sven Brodin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Vesterberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Sven-Olof Näfver was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Åryd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VP Fotboll the free kick. In the 26th minute, one of Åryd:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Åryd. The referee gave VP Fotboll a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tony Lundqvist, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Åryd's Sven Brodin. 0-1. Sven Brodin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Rudberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 34 minutes, Kristoffer Alfors managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åryd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristoffer Alfors was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Rune Thedin in the 36th minute of play forced VP Fotboll's goalkeeper Börge Bank to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Rudberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Sven Brodin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 played minutes VP Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by Joel Rudberg. After the first half VP Fotboll were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Vesterberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Conny Lundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. VP Fotboll were furious when Rikard Gudmundsson was red carded, 53 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in VP Fotboll fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Åryd a penalty, 55 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rolf Wiman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of VP Fotboll's Börge Bank. 1-1. Bengt-Rune Thedin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Bengt-Rune Thedin made a precise shot to the right of Börge Bank. VP Fotboll's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Joel Rudberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Sven Brodin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 71 minutes, Emil Tinglöv managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VP Fotboll's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emil Tinglöv was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, VP Fotboll's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Rune Thedin came free, but Börge Bank reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Rune Thedin in the 77th minute of play forced VP Fotboll's goalkeeper Börge Bank to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Börge Bank made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Rune Thedin in the 80th minute of play. Joel Rudberg's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sven Brodin firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Bengt-Rune Thedin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bengt-Rune Thedin in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Börge Bank saved VP Fotboll from getting behind. The supporters of Åryd booed when VP Fotboll was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Tinglöv didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kristoffer Alfors in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Börge Bank prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Joel Rudberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
