Leonardo Stabbe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Kvick in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 27 minutes, Reine Falkrans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nittorp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reine Falkrans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Reine Falkrans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sivert Alfors got free with Leonardo Stabbe in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind AIK's goalkeeper Elliot Eriksson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Simon Lang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elliot Eriksson having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in AIK's zone, Reine Falkrans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elliot Eriksson came out of the goal and Reine Falkrans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute, Reine Falkrans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Johannes Kvick stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in AIK's zone, Reine Falkrans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elliot Eriksson came out of the goal and Reine Falkrans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute Sivert Alfors shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Stabbe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AIK's Elliot Eriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reine Falkrans in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reine Falkrans in the 62nd minute of play forced AIK's goalkeeper Elliot Eriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonardo Stabbe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Kvick in the 66th minute of the match. Johannes Kvick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Stabbe having to interfere. Reine Falkrans was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 69th minute. Nittorp's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Simon Lang managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nittorp's supporters rose to their feet, but Simon Lang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elliot Eriksson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Johannes Kvick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Leonardo Stabbe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simon Lang struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Elliot Eriksson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nittorp. In the 81st match minute, Nittorp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reine Falkrans to maneuver through the defense. Johannes Kvick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elliot Eriksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Lang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simon Lang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elliot Eriksson having to interfere. Many of Nittorp's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Nittorp may have spent more time on the ball, but AIK were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
