Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 0) If Inge Cane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esbjörn Melander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herman Wallin having to interfere. In the 14thth minute of the game Holger Åström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Varekil IK's Calle Stenkvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joakim Vesterberg struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Herman Wallin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varekil IK. Felix Ahlfors's late challenge caught a Varekil IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Ahlfors helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Varekil IK booed when Hammenhög was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Ahlfors didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Carl Ström came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Hammenhög fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carl Ström couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the match, Karl-Oskar Finsberg notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Hammenhög's Herman Wallin. Herman Wallin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hammenhög's Jörgen Ekström pulled a muscle in his leg after 43 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Conny Häll during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Inge Cane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Esbjörn Melander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Esbjörn Melander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Herman Wallin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carl Ström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joakim Vesterberg kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Herman Wallin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esbjörn Melander, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Carl Ström might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Calle Stenkvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carl Ström ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Hammenhög defense, Inge Cane kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herman Wallin. The Hammenhög fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herman Wallin should have stopped the shot. Carl Ström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Calle Stenkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carl Ström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Herman Wallin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esbjörn Melander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Herman Wallin made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Inge Cane sent off a good shot on target. Varekil IK's Calle Stenkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Ström in the 91st minute of play. The Hammenhög supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Varekil IK's performance. The match ended with a win for Varekil IK.
