In the 8th minute, one of Löberöd IK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Löberöd IK. The referee gave FC Spiksko a penalty, 10 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Herbert Hansson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Löberöd IK's Jan-Erik Hellström. 2-0. The supporters of Löberöd IK booed when FC Spiksko was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fritz Askberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Löberöd IK's zone, Karl-Erik Beckman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan-Erik Hellström came out of the goal and Karl-Erik Beckman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marko Grelsson hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Jan-Erik Hellström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Hansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lukas Låsberg hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Per-Åke Hellqvist hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. If Vilhelm Hultstrand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl-Erik Beckman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Jan-Erik Hellström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan-Erik Hellström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilhelm Hultstrand, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

Jan-Erik Hellström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Grelsson in the 51st minute of play. During the 66th minute of the match Lukas Låsberg completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lukas Låsberg a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 67th minute, Lukas Låsberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Löberöd IK defense, Vilhelm Hultstrand kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan-Erik Hellström. The audience was convinced that Karl-Erik Beckman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan-Erik Hellström was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. In the 85th minute Vilhelm Hultstrand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Erik Hellström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
