A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. TOPPTRIM's Arne Bäckström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save TOPPTRIM from getting a goal against them. Krister Månsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arne Bäckström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustav Persson in the 20th minute. 23 minutes into the match, TOPPTRIM's goalkeeper Arne Bäckström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustav Persson. After a defensive mix-up in TOPPTRIM's zone, Gustav Persson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arne Bäckström came out of the goal and Gustav Persson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joar Bergström during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arne Bäckström was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Gustav Persson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gustav Persson really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Arne Bäckström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Krister Månsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Johan Stålman managed to get in a good position for a shot. TOPPTRIM's supporters rose to their feet, but Johan Stålman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Torgny Tinglöv breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute, Joar Bergström made a precise shot to the right of Torgny Tinglöv. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
