Spectators: 6460 (Terracing: 5460, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ludvig Pihlgren got the match started through his kick off. Herman Åström's late challenge caught a Hede's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Herman Åström helped the player get up and apologised. After 3 played minutes Dona United got a freekick which was hit by Herman Åström. Göran Zander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Kellbom having to interfere. Göran Zander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claes Kellbom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Göran Zander in the 12th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hede's zone, Roger Samuelsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harald Lundhberg came out of the goal and Roger Samuelsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Hede defense, Sven Landin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harald Lundhberg. The Hede fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harald Lundhberg should have stopped the shot. 21 minutes into the match, Hede's goal looked a bit too open when Herman Åström came free, but Harald Lundhberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Göran Zander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 minutes, Sven Landin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dona United and the Hede players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th minute, Sven Landin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Göran Zander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Kellbom having to interfere. If Ludvig Pihlgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claes Kellbom didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ludvig Pihlgren went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 43 minutes, Roger Samuelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dona United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roger Samuelsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Harald Lundhberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Samuelsson in the 46th minute of play. After 47 minutes, Gunnar Gustafsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hede and the Dona United players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Dona United booed when Hede was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunnar Gustafsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Herman Åström came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Dona United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herman Åström couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Herman Åström was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Zander in the 54th minute of play forced Dona United's goalkeeper Claes Kellbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kjell-Arne Hammarbäck charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kjell-Arne Hammarbäck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 57 played minutes Hede got a freekick which was hit by Kjell-Arne Hammarbäck. Ludvig Pihlgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th match minute, Dona United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseph Björck to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th match minute, Hede was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludvig Pihlgren to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute of the match, Herman Åström tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Harald Lundhberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 83 minutes into the match, Dona United's Roger Samuelsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Harald Lundhberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Dona United's Harald Tingberg got a free kick in the 85th minute. Claes Kellbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Zander, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Hede's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Herman Åström 91 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. In the 98th minute Ludvig Pihlgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Kellbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Dona United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Dona United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
