Torgny Österlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ingvar Wallgren kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torgny Österlund in the 6th minute of play forced Lyrestad's goalkeeper Michel Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th match minute, Lyrestad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edwin Magnusson to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute Torgny Österlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lyrestad's Michel Lundqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Ahlroht in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Ahlroht in the 16th minute of play forced Lyrestad's goalkeeper Michel Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 played minutes Assyriska FF got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Hellbom. Michel Lundqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Ahlroht in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Torgny Österlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Torgny Österlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Axel Blom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Lundqvist having to interfere. Assyriska FF's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ulf Söder 33 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Ulf Söder was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 37th minute. Lyrestad's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torgny Österlund in the 39th minute of play forced Lyrestad's goalkeeper Michel Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexander Ahlroht in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michel Lundqvist saved Lyrestad from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Lyrestad's zone, Torgny Österlund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michel Lundqvist came out of the goal and Torgny Österlund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edwin Magnusson to make the kick off. Torgny Österlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Michel Lundqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eddie Wallengren hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexander Ahlroht got free with Michel Lundqvist in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Michel Lundqvist made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Alexander Ahlroht sent off a good shot on target. Torgny Österlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Lundqvist having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexander Ahlroht got free with Michel Lundqvist in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Torgny Österlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Lundqvist having to interfere. 1-1 became the score in the 79th minute when Alexander Ahlroht elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Torgny Österlund in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michel Lundqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lyrestad's Michel Lundqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Lyrestad from getting a goal against them. When Assyriska FF's Torgny Österlund in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lyrestad's goalie prevented a goal. Michel Lundqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torgny Österlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 97 minutes into the match, Ulf Söder notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Assyriska FF's Izydor Watarz. Izydor Watarz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lyrestad were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Assyriska FF for a fine match.
