In the 7th match minute, Backyard Kickers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Åke Kellberg to maneuver through the defense. Backyard Kickers's Anders Dahlberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Backyard Kickers from getting a goal against them. When Stig-Åke Kellberg fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Backyard Kickers's protests and gave Stig-Åke Kellberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 played minutes Backyard Kickers got a freekick which was hit by Stig-Åke Kellberg. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Henric Vennersten managed to get in a good position for a shot. Backyard Kickers's supporters rose to their feet, but Henric Vennersten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matthias Wikander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Henric Vennersten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henric Vennersten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Henric Vennersten notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Klintehamn's Matthias Wikander. Matthias Wikander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Matthias Wikander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Unesson in the 37th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Henric Vennersten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Adam Unesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adam Unesson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Matthias Wikander made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Henric Vennersten sent off a good shot on target. 60 minutes into the match, Backyard Kickers's goal looked a bit too open when Arvid Sjögren came free, but Anders Dahlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Klintehamn's zone, Adam Unesson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matthias Wikander came out of the goal and Adam Unesson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olof Haström charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olof Haström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 70th minute, Olof Haström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henric Vennersten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Matthias Wikander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matthias Wikander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Unesson in the 87th minute of the match. After 89 played minutes, Backyard Kickers's Olof Haström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Matthias Wikander came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Backyard Kickers reached it. With his leg Matthias Wikander managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Backyard Kickers's Henric Vennersten fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Unesson in the 95th minute of play forced Klintehamn's goalkeeper Matthias Wikander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 96 minutes, Henric Vennersten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Backyard Kickers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henric Vennersten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Backyard Kickers left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Klintehamn.
