In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Edane FK's goalkeeper Anders Sandström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Knut Bengtsson came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Hakenäset BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Knut Bengtsson couldn't finish the play. Gösta Hamberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Marcus Ahlerot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Sundin got free with Anders Sandström in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Edane FK's Ian Beck got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 43rd minute Hakenäset BK were awarded a corner. Örjan Adelsköld went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Hakenäset BK's corner Stig-Arne Hallgren fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Anders Sandström quite easily take care of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Knut Bengtsson made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Christian Sundin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anders Sandström was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Anders Sandström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Knut Bengtsson in the 58th minute of the match. A collision led to Edane FK getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Jonas Billvall hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Hakenäset BK's Örjan Adelsköld tried to score from far away in the 74th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 82 minutes, Christian Sundin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hakenäset BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Sundin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hakenäset BK's Knut Bengtsson got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edane FK's Anders Sandström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Sundin in the 86th minute of play. A collision led to Edane FK getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Albin Lennartsson hit a great ball. Christian Sundin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Christian Sundin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anders Sandström was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. If Knut Bengtsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Hakenäset BK players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
