Spectators: 7186 (Terracing: 5488, Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 15) Björneborg FK's Manfred Ålberg started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Markus Groth might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Conny Lundgren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Markus Groth ran back to his position shaking his head. Manfred Ålberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conny Lundgren having to interfere. Daniel Harman kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Dalkvist got free with Birger Ahlin in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patrick Dalkvist came free with the goalkeeper in the 16th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Birger Ahlin could save by the left post. 17 minutes into the match, Björneborg FK's goal looked a bit too open when Peder Berglund came free, but Birger Ahlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Birger Ahlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peder Berglund in the 18th minute of play. Patrick Dalkvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Birger Ahlin made a huge save. After 25 minutes of play Lönneberga IK's Daniel Harman was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manfred Ålberg in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Conny Lundgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Conny Lundgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manfred Ålberg's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After 34 minutes, Nils-Åke Siöberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lönneberga IK and the Björneborg FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lönneberga IK getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Nils-Åke Siöberg hit a great ball. In the 35th minute Markus Groth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conny Lundgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conny Lundgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfred Ålberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Martin Åberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Conny Lundgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peder Berglund charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peder Berglund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Lönneberga IK's Peder Berglund got a free kick in the 40th minute. Markus Groth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrick Dalkvist was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Lönneberga IK getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Peder Berglund hit a great ball. If Manfred Ålberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrick Dalkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Markus Groth notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Lönneberga IK's Conny Lundgren. Conny Lundgren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Peder Berglund was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. Conny Lundgren made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Markus Groth sent off a good shot on target. When Markus Groth came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Björneborg FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Markus Groth couldn't finish the play. In the 78th minute of the match, Manfred Ålberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Conny Lundgren saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Patrick Dalkvist fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lönneberga IK's protests and gave Patrick Dalkvist a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Lönneberga IK's Patrick Dalkvist got a free kick in the 78th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manfred Ålberg in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Conny Lundgren saved Lönneberga IK from getting behind. Patrick Dalkvist hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Markus Groth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Conny Lundgren made a huge save. If Markus Groth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nils-Åke Siöberg was shown his second yellow card after 88 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 89th match minute, Lönneberga IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils-Åke Siöberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute, Lönneberga IK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Manfred Ålberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Manfred Ålberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conny Lundgren having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Lönneberga IK's goal looked a bit too open when Manfred Ålberg came free, but Conny Lundgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Björneborg FK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
