The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Johan Jespersson's late challenge caught a Bureå IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. One of Bureå IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Botsmark:s goal. The supporters of Bureå IF booed when Botsmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torbjörn Gabrielsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torbjörn Barck hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Botsmark's Nils Haström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Torstensson in the 26th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sonny Karlsson got free with Ivan Forsberg in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bureå IF's Sven Eckegren got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Botsmark's Nils Haström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Lenberg in the 34th minute of play. Jonathan Lenberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils Haström having to interfere. If Sven Eckegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nils Haström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Lenberg in the 41st minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Sven Eckegren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bureå IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
With a little luck, Botsmark's Nils Haström got control of the ball when Jonathan Lenberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ivan Forsberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elliott Blanck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arne Torstensson hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. If Sonny Karlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The referee gave Bureå IF a penalty, 77 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bengt Nyström, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Botsmark's Nils Haström. 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Bureå IF's zone, Torbjörn Gabrielsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Forsberg came out of the goal and Torbjörn Gabrielsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Nils Haström managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Bureå IF's Benjamin Göransson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sonny Karlsson in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Forsberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 88 played minutes Botsmark got a freekick which was hit by Bertil Edström. In the 95th minute, Jonathan Lenberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Bureå IF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
