After 5 played minutes THE Xx got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Åkerman. In the 7th minute of the match Olle Örnberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rikard Hellsing showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 13th minute Verner Thidén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Bäckström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes in the game, Verner Thidén fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Leo Bäckström having to interfere. With an all-out effort, THE Xx's Leo Bäckström threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Verner Thidén, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Samuel Åkerman came free with the goalkeeper in the 17th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Leo Bäckström could save by the left post. Tord Thedin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Tord Thedin made a precise shot to the right of Rikard Hellsing. THE Xx's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Samuel Åkerman scored 1-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leo Bäckström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, THE Xx's Oscar Nyberg got a free kick in the 38th minute. Olle Örnberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rikard Hellsing. THE Xx's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tord Thedin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Blentarp's zone, Verner Thidén stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leo Bäckström came out of the goal and Verner Thidén tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Samuel Åkerman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Leo Bäckström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samuel Åkerman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Bäckström having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Verner Thidén made a kick off. After 52 played minutes THE Xx got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Axel Alebeck. If Verner Thidén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roger Kellbom's late challenge caught a THE Xx's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roger Kellbom helped the player get up and apologised. After 60 played minutes Blentarp got a freekick which was hit by Roger Kellbom. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Åkerman in the 70th minute of play forced Blentarp's goalkeeper Leo Bäckström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rikard Hellsing made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Tord Thedin sent off a good shot on target. Samuel Åkerman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Leo Bäckström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Verner Thidén made a precise shot to the right of Leo Bäckström. Blentarp's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Verner Thidén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Bäckström having to interfere. THE Xx's Verner Thidén got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Samuel Åkerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Verner Thidén in the 90th minute of play forced Blentarp's goalkeeper Leo Bäckström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Samuel Åkerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Åkerman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leo Bäckström having to make a save. There was no doubt that THE Xx were the better team. THE Xx's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
