The audience thought a goal was coming when Erik Söder got free with Rikard Hellsing in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in THE Xx reached it. Rikard Hellsing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Täman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kurt Lundgren's late challenge caught a Lovate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kurt Lundgren helped the player get up and apologised. Kurt Lundgren kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven-Olof Högman made a kick off. Sven-Olof Högman took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rikard Hellsing. Rikard Hellsing dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Franck Rocheteau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stig-Ove Cane in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute, Sven-Olof Högman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lovate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sven-Olof Högman in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rikard Hellsing prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lovate's Erik Söder got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 72 minutes into the game, when Oscar Nyberg put in a rough tackle. Oscar Nyberg kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Sven-Olof Högman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Olof Högman in the 80th minute of play forced THE Xx's goalkeeper Rikard Hellsing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven-Olof Högman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lovate fully deserved thier win.
