In the 15th minute Valentin Stabbe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Strömberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 played minutes Östervåla FK got a freekick which was hit by Joar Håkansson. WW Bojsn's Magne Holmgren got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Östervåla FK's Robin Strömberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Stabbe in the 28th minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Östervåla FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joar Håkansson to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, Per-Arne Eklund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evert Kjellqvist. WW Bojsn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Per-Arne Eklund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Martin Beckman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of WW Bojsn booed when Östervåla FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oskar Gregersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Martin Beckman came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Östervåla FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Beckman couldn't finish the play.
