The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Elias Bäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Rickard Forssberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 5th minute, Elias Bäck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Elias Bäck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rickard Forssberg was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Elias Bäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rickard Forssberg having to interfere. Romakloster's Mattias Grönberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Max Hök in the 12th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 14th minute by Dag Brun got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Österfärnebo IK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Romakloster:s goal. Bengt-Rune Sander shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Mattias Grönberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kasper Fransson went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Elias Bäck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rickard Forssberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rasmus Dahlkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Österfärnebo IK's Max Hök sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mattias Grönberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Melker Mårtensson fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Romakloster's protests and gave Melker Mårtensson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th minute, Melker Mårtensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute Elias Bäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rickard Forssberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rasmus Dahlkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mattias Grönberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dag Brun in the 46th minute of play. Romakloster's Mattias Grönberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 50th minute of the match, managed to save Romakloster from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Dag Brun made the kick off in the second half. Romakloster's Mattias Grönberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Max Hök in the 55th minute of play. Elias Bäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rickard Forssberg having to interfere. 2-0 became the score in the 61st minute when Max Hök elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Rickard Forssberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rasmus Dahlkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mattias Grönberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dag Brun, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. The audience was convinced that Dag Brun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mattias Grönberg was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. When Rasmus Dahlkvist came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Romakloster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rasmus Dahlkvist couldn't finish the play. Max Hök fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Grönberg having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dag Brun in the 78th minute of play forced Romakloster's goalkeeper Mattias Grönberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Max Hök, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 79 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Mattias Grönberg was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 83rd play minute Elias Bäck came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rickard Forssberg. 2-1. After 86 minutes, Jarl Lundqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Romakloster and the Österfärnebo IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rickard Forssberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rasmus Dahlkvist in the 89th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Dag Brun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Österfärnebo IK's Dag Brun got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romakloster's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
