Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Helge Karlsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Flarken's Ingvar Walroth got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute, one of Flarken:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Flarken. The goalkeeper, Ingmar Lundin, was totally fooled by Rockneby's Ulrik Wennerlund, who 8 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Eric Skog showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Lövgren in the 11th minute of the match. Helge Karlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Ingmar Lundin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ingmar Lundin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helge Karlsson in the 14th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Flarken got a freekick which was hit by Ingvar Walroth. Eric Skog showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peder Västerstrand, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Olof Hellström hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Peder Västerstrand scored 1-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eric Skog, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Flarken's Peder Västerstrand got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ted Bohlin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Eric Skog tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rockneby's zone, Peder Västerstrand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Skog came out of the goal and Peder Västerstrand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eric Skog showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Lövgren in the 35th minute of the match. Rockneby's Eric Skog played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peder Västerstrand in the 37th minute of play. Ingmar Lundin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Helge Karlsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Peder Västerstrand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 47 played minutes Rockneby got a freekick which was hit by Tage Sellberg. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Peder Västerstrand was the one to do the kick off. Peder Västerstrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Eric Skog tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flarken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peder Västerstrand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rockneby's Eric Skog proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Rockneby from getting a goal against them. Eric Skog made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Lövgren in the 87th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Rockneby's Helge Karlsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ingmar Lundin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 96th match minute, Flarken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Lövgren to maneuver through the defense. Despite being the better team, Flarken failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
