Mango IK's Pontus Grubb proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Mango IK from getting a goal against them. Lilla edet's Jonas Dusett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birger Kvick in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Lilla edet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Wahlnäs to maneuver through the defense. Simon Västerstrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Pontus Grubb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Roger Wahlnäs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Jonas Dusett was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Christian Askstedt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 69 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Västerstrand in the 78th minute of play forced Mango IK's goalkeeper Pontus Grubb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Simon Västerstrand came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Lilla edet fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Västerstrand couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute Lilla edet were awarded a corner. In the 90th minute Simon Västerstrand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pontus Grubb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Birger Kvick could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Jonas Dusett made a huge save. Birger Kvick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Dusett having to interfere. If Birger Kvick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
