Georg Bank made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robert Holmgren in the 8th minute. In the 8th match minute, IFK Lundby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roy Unesson to maneuver through the defense. Ronny Ahlstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Georg Bank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in IFK Lundby fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! In the 17th minute, the referee gave Långasjö BF a penalty. Valentin Runberg looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Georg Bank. Ronny Ahlstedt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robert Holmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl-Axel Fribäck in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Boris Wester saved Långasjö BF from getting behind. Georg Bank didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 31st minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Georg Bank showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfred Hermansson in the 39th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Långasjö BF's Ronny Ahlstedt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Georg Bank. That made the score 3-0 after 40 minutes of play. Boris Wester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gottfrid Fransson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl-Axel Fribäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boris Wester having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronny Ahlstedt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Ronny Ahlstedt notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of IFK Lundby's Georg Bank. Georg Bank was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Gottfrid Fransson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronny Ahlstedt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Ronny Ahlstedt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Georg Bank was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. After 65 minutes, Gottfrid Fransson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the IFK Lundby and the Långasjö BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Robert Holmgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Georg Bank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jens-Åke Isaksson's late challenge caught a IFK Lundby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jens-Åke Isaksson helped the player get up and apologised. Jens-Åke Isaksson kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Långasjö BF's goal looked a bit too open when Gottfrid Fransson came free, but Boris Wester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gottfrid Fransson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Långasjö BF fans cheered their team off the field, for while IFK Lundby had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
