Erland Vikström got his second yellow card in the match during the 23rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Furuvik IF getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Erland Vikström hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rune Uggstedt got free with Nils-Emil Johansson in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Verner Martinsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With splendid footwork Verner Martinsson arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-0 by the left pole in the game's 28th minute. The supporters of Furuvik IF booed when Östhammar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Wallman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, George Wallman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gustav Boman to strike the kick off in the second half. Verner Martinsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nils-Emil Johansson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Verner Martinsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustav Boman took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gottfrid Vesterberg. Gottfrid Vesterberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When Tommy Klintæus came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Östhammar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommy Klintæus couldn't finish the play. After 69 minutes, George Wallman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Östhammar and the Furuvik IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th minute, George Wallman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nils-Emil Johansson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Verner Martinsson's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute, Filip Bäckman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Östhammar's Verner Martinsson got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Furuvik IF's Sven-Åke Wallin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gottfrid Vesterberg. Gottfrid Vesterberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Nils-Emil Johansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Verner Martinsson in the 96th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Östhammar players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
