Spectators: 6808 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sebastian Danielsson started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Hova RK's Roger Arenius got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Claes Holmberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skepplanda's supporters rose to their feet, but Claes Holmberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils Matsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 7 minutes into the match, Hova RK's goal looked a bit too open when Claes Holmberg came free, but Nils Matsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claes Holmberg in the 12th minute of play forced Hova RK's goalkeeper Nils Matsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nils Matsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Charlie Smedfeldt went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Sebastian Danielsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Niclas Hellqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claes Holmberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils Matsson having to interfere. Nils Matsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claes Holmberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Claes Holmberg came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Skepplanda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claes Holmberg couldn't finish the play. Hova RK's Nils Matsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claes Holmberg in the 44th minute of play. Skepplanda's Charlie Smedfeldt got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Skepplanda were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claes Holmberg made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Roger Eliasson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Peter Asserlind during the 66th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Charlie Smedfeldt got free with Nils Matsson in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claes Holmberg in the 83rd minute of play forced Hova RK's goalkeeper Nils Matsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 85 minutes of play, Skepplanda's Charlie Smedfeldt made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nils Matsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Claes Holmberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 93 played minutes Hova RK got a freekick which was hit by Peter Asserlind. Skepplanda were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Hova RK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joakim Göransson took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Joakim Göransson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nils Matsson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Skepplanda walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
