Spectators: 6680 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1680, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Melker Finsberg started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Slagnäs FF's goalkeeper Sven Morat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 6th match minute, Sollefteå IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brian Möllgren to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Sollefteå IF's zone, Staffan Arenstedt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rune Blomqvist came out of the goal and Staffan Arenstedt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Melker Finsberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Blomqvist having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Brian Möllgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sven-Erik Dahlbom was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Staffan Arenstedt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rune Blomqvist was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. When Slagnäs FF's Melker Finsberg in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 31st minute Melker Finsberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Blomqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Staffan Arenstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Blomqvist having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Staffan Arenstedt put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rune Blomqvist. When Slagnäs FF's Staffan Arenstedt in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sollefteå IF's goalie prevented a goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Göran Asklöv was the one to do the kick off. Sven Morat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göran Asklöv in the 53rd minute of the match. 55 minutes into the game, Brian Möllgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sollefteå IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Slagnäs FF the free kick. Rune Blomqvist was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Sven-Erik Dahlbom. In the 57th minute, Melker Finsberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Melker Finsberg in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rune Blomqvist saved Sollefteå IF from getting behind. Staffan Arenstedt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Rune Blomqvist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Stig-Arne Stor's late challenge caught a Slagnäs FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stig-Arne Stor helped the player get up and apologised. Stig-Arne Stor hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After having played for 65 minutes, Hjalmar Eriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sollefteå IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hjalmar Eriksson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Staffan Arenstedt struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Rune Blomqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slagnäs FF. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sune Wallengren during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sollefteå IF! Slagnäs FF's attack was well implemented in the 74th minute, but when Staffan Arenstedt was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. With a little luck, Sollefteå IF's Rune Blomqvist got control of the ball when Staffan Arenstedt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alex Hamberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Blomqvist having to interfere. Staffan Arenstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rune Blomqvist made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Malcolm Alegren sent off a good shot on target. Staffan Arenstedt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rune Blomqvist having to make a save. When Leo Bergman came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Slagnäs FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leo Bergman couldn't finish the play. Staffan Arenstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Rune Blomqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Asklöv in the 97th minute of play forced Slagnäs FF's goalkeeper Sven Morat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Slagnäs FF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sollefteå IF throughout the match.
