Mörrum
Spectators: 7280 (Terracing: 5462,
Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Magnus Abrahamsson started the match with the kick off. 9 minutes into the game, Kjell Blom was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mörrum's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave IRAQ the free kick. The supporters of IRAQ booed when Mörrum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kjell Blom didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 played minutes, IRAQ's Tord Sjögren shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Robert Haegg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in IRAQ reached it. After 10 played minutes Mörrum got a freekick which was hit by Boris Bagge. If Mattias Harlén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mörrum! Tord Sjögren walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 1-0 became the score in the 25th minute when Magnus Abrahamsson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Mörrum's Lennart Helberg broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Magnus Abrahamsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peter Magnusson came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Mörrum's Magnus Abrahamsson. But to his dismay, Magnus Abrahamsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 41 minutes into the game, Arne Wik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IRAQ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mörrum the free kick. A collision led to IRAQ getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Arne Wik hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Magnus Abrahamsson in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Magnusson saved IRAQ from getting behind. 45 minutes into the match, Kjell Blom notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of IRAQ's Peter Magnusson. Peter Magnusson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arne Wik was the one to do the kick off. Robert Haegg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arne Wik, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 58 minutes into the game, Bo-Erik Klementsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IRAQ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mörrum the free kick. After 58 played minutes IRAQ got a freekick which was hit by Bo-Erik Klementsson. In the 63rd minute Magnus Abrahamsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Magnusson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Arne Wik recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Robert Haegg. Arne Wik showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Jonny Hamberg charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonny Hamberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd minute, Mattias Harlén fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Arne Wik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mattias Harlén got free with Robert Haegg in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of IRAQ booed when Mörrum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kjell Blom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robert Haegg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Wik in the 85th minute of play. A collision led to IRAQ getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Tord Sjögren hit a great ball. Edvard Kollberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magnus Abrahamsson in the 90th minute of play forced IRAQ's goalkeeper Peter Magnusson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edvard Kollberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Peter Magnusson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boris Bagge struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Peter Magnusson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mörrum. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Magnus Abrahamsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mörrum's supporters rose to their feet, but Magnus Abrahamsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Magnusson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mörrum were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of IRAQ for a fine match.
