The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sven-Ove Åkerström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nils-Emil Kruuse the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cannollie BK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nils-Emil Kruuse had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a defensive mix-up in Ortens Favoriter's zone, Aaron Håkansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Holger Falck came out of the goal and Aaron Håkansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute, Fred Blomquist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gösta Skoog could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Lars-Erik Ahlrot made a huge save. Aaron Håkansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Holger Falck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven-Ove Åkerström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. With a little luck, Cannollie BK's Lars-Erik Ahlrot got control of the ball when Gösta Skoog tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 48th minute, Sven-Ove Åkerström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lars-Erik Ahlrot was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Sven-Ove Åkerström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars-Erik Ahlrot having to interfere. Matthias Sundling charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matthias Sundling the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cannollie BK getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Matthias Sundling hit a great ball. If Aaron Håkansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gösta Skoog in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lars-Erik Ahlrot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Olle Göransson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lars-Erik Ahlrot was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 75th minute, Sven-Ove Åkerström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 76 played minutes Cannollie BK got a freekick which was hit by Jan Nordin. If Sven-Ove Åkerström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aaron Håkansson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Holger Falck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Holger Falck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aaron Håkansson in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Fred Blomquist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Aaron Håkansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cannollie BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Aaron Håkansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Holger Falck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cannollie BK's Aaron Håkansson got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sven-Ove Åkerström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sven-Ove Åkerström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lars-Erik Ahlrot having to make a save. Gösta Skoog sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ortens Favoriter's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
