The referee ignored Stockholm City's protests and gave Per Hammarberg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Stockaryd booed when Stockholm City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per Hammarberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Stockholm City players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Stockaryd were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elliott Sjöström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sixten Stålberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per Hammarberg in the 51st minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Christer Skog was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stockaryd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stockholm City the free kick. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Stockholm City's zone, Christer Skog stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boris Sundling came out of the goal and Christer Skog tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elliott Sjöström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Christer Skog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boris Sundling having to interfere. With his leg Boris Sundling managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Stockaryd's Elliott Sjöström fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Boris Sundling made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Elliott Sjöström sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Stockaryd left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Stockholm City.
