In the 18thth minute of the game Christer Skog who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gammelstad's André Svanström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 20 minutes, Christer Skog mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stockaryd and the Gammelstad players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Gammelstad booed when Stockaryd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christer Skog didn't get a good kick on the ball. André Svanström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elliott Sjöström in the 22nd minute. Christer Skog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. A collision led to Gammelstad getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Magne Jonasson hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Stockaryd's Rune Johnsson tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Gammelstad's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Elliott Sjöström fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christer Skog in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg André Svanström saved Gammelstad from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Elliott Sjöström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stockaryd's supporters rose to their feet, but Elliott Sjöström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Svanström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 41st minute, Christer Skog made a precise shot to the right of André Svanström. Gammelstad's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After having played for 44 minutes, Christer Skog managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stockaryd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christer Skog was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. André Svanström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joacim Kellman in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christer Skog to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 66th match minute, Gammelstad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magne Jonasson to maneuver through the defense. Rune Johnsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for André Svanström. Gammelstad's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christer Skog in the 68th minute of play forced Gammelstad's goalkeeper André Svanström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Svanström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elliott Sjöström in the 72nd minute of the match. If Christer Skog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
