The Hif United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Vallengren should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Broby United's Alf Dahlkvist got control of the ball when John Olofsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alf Dahlkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Jespersson in the 29th minute of play. Thomas Vallengren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertil Strandberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Hif United's zone, Rickard Holm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Vallengren came out of the goal and Rickard Holm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. John Olofsson got in the 43rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Alf Dahlkvist handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Rickard Holm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Vallengren having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonas Kvist was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Jespersson in the 55th minute of play forced Broby United's goalkeeper Alf Dahlkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Broby United booed when Hif United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torsten Jakobsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcus Jespersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If John Olofsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
