The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, Egon Myhr was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bruksvallarna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kennedy FF the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Bruksvallarna:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kennedy FF:s goal. When the match had been going on for 22 minutes, Kennedy FF's Leif Svensson got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Fred Söderlund. In the 25th match minute, Bruksvallarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elliot Brandt to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Kennedy FF's zone, Patric Ahlroth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Staffan Nordmark came out of the goal and Patric Ahlroth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the match, Bruksvallarna's Elliot Brandt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Staffan Nordmark narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, Kennedy FF's goal looked a bit too open when Patric Ahlroth came free, but Staffan Nordmark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Brogren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Fred Söderlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Brogren to make the kick off. Kennedy FF's Staffan Nordmark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patric Ahlroth in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th match minute, Bruksvallarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Ola Sundberg to maneuver through the defense. Bo Bern's late challenge caught a Bruksvallarna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bo Bern helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th minute, Elliot Brandt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute Bruksvallarna were awarded a corner. Edmund Holm went to the cornerflag to take it. Fred Söderlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Brogren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patric Ahlroth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Staffan Nordmark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Michael Wallin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Patric Ahlroth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. Elliot Brandt scored 1-5 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Staffan Nordmark, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
