Esbjörn Fristedt started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frans Abrahamsson in the 2nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ian Tunander saved NÜRNBERG 47 FC from getting behind. 12 minutes into the game, Esbjörn Mårtensson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NÜRNBERG 47 FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galatasaray the free kick. In the 12th match minute, NÜRNBERG 47 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esbjörn Mårtensson to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robin Åström during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th minute, one of NÜRNBERG 47 FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for NÜRNBERG 47 FC. Victor Hökqvist shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Filiph Bergqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ian Tunander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Josef Vallander kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After 32 minutes, Esbjörn Fristedt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NÜRNBERG 47 FC and the Galatasaray players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, NÜRNBERG 47 FC's Esbjörn Fristedt got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Sven-Edvin Ödman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Alexander Dahlkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind NÜRNBERG 47 FC's goalkeeper Ian Tunander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Frans Abrahamsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 45 played minutes NÜRNBERG 47 FC got a freekick which was hit by Robin Åström. Galatasaray's Victor Hökqvist couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 46th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for NÜRNBERG 47 FC.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frans Abrahamsson was the one to do the kick off. Ian Tunander had great luck who in the 53rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Frans Abrahamsson from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Ian Tunander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frans Abrahamsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. NÜRNBERG 47 FC's Sven-Edvin Ödman got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in NÜRNBERG 47 FC's zone, Filiph Bergqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Tunander came out of the goal and Filiph Bergqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Galatasaray's Alexander Dahlkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esbjörn Fristedt in the 68th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Filiph Bergqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's Filiph Bergqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ian Tunander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to NÜRNBERG 47 FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Esbjörn Mårtensson hit a great ball. Filiph Bergqvist struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Ian Tunander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galatasaray. If Filiph Bergqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexander Dahlkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Edvin Ödman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ove Siggman kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Galatasaray's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
