Hans Hellbom in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Staffan Gullesson's late challenge caught a Vartofta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Nils-Åke Skager took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Sven-Ove Fastesson to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Vartofta fully deserved thier win.
