Frans Hellbom hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 6 minutes into the game, Isac Persson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bro IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Löftadalens IF the free kick. When Jan-Erik Mogren fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Löftadalens IF's protests and gave Jan-Erik Mogren a yellow card for diving instead. Jan-Erik Mogren hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 10th match minute, Bro IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Åke Nord to maneuver through the defense. Sixten Bredberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Knut Apelqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan-Erik Mogren's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sixten Bredberg firmly grabbed it by the left post. 31 minutes into the game, Jan-Erik Mogren recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sixten Bredberg. Jan-Erik Mogren showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Kent Sundström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Linus Rydelius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven-Åke Nord fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Sundström having to interfere. If Knut Apelqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

After 55 minutes of play, Löftadalens IF's Jan-Erik Mogren made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sixten Bredberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Knut Apelqvist took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sixten Bredberg. Sixten Bredberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Sven-Åke Nord recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dag Smefeldt kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Sixten Bredberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Knut Apelqvist in the 74th minute of play. Kent Sundström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Åke Nord, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, Frans Hellbom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Knut Apelqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Sixten Bredberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st match minute, Bro IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dag Smefeldt to maneuver through the defense. Kent Sundström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eddie Petersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Bro IK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
