Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Loftahammar FK's Joachim Biörkquist started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joachim Biörkquist in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vilgot Nordström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yngve Norström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Loftahammar FK getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Dennis Gustafsson hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, Erland Arvidsson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Loftahammar FK's Claes Vallman didn't even have to move. After 24 played minutes Loftahammar FK got a freekick which was hit by Freddie Blomberg. Claes Vallman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Holmberg in the 27th minute of play. Claes Vallman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yngve Norström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Loftahammar FK getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Dennis Gustafsson hit a great ball. Claes Vallman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Holmberg in the 38th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Dan Holmberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laholm's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Holmberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claes Vallman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Holmberg in the 44th minute of play forced Loftahammar FK's goalkeeper Claes Vallman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Joachim Biörkquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dan Holmberg to make the kick off. When Yngve Norström came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Laholm fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yngve Norström couldn't finish the play. If Yngve Norström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Högström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Vilgot Nordström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 minutes of play, Loftahammar FK's George Högström made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vilgot Nordström was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Laholm defense, George Högström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vilgot Nordström. The Laholm fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vilgot Nordström should have stopped the shot. Dan Holmberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Vallman having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Loftahammar FK's zone, Dan Holmberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claes Vallman came out of the goal and Dan Holmberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yngve Norström got free with Claes Vallman in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dan Holmberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Claes Vallman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Laholm's zone, George Högström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vilgot Nordström came out of the goal and George Högström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elias Lindgren hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Laholm players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Loftahammar FK.
