Kristinehamn Stadion
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Thomas Karlstedt took the kick off in the first half of the match. Casper Bredberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arman Alén in the 3rd minute. Thomas Karlstedt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elliott Bark's late challenge caught a Kristinehamn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elliott Bark helped the player get up and apologised. After 7 played minutes Åhus IF got a freekick which was hit by Elliott Bark. In the 11th minute, Kristinehamn's Arman Alén ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Casper Bredberg. Casper Bredberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stefan Ennegren during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Åhus IF booed when Kristinehamn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Ennegren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute of the match Jan-Olof Svanström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Ekberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kristinehamn's Thomas Karlstedt got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Thomas Karlstedt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casper Bredberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. With a little luck, Åhus IF's Casper Bredberg got control of the ball when Arman Alén tried to sneak it across the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Åhus IF's Samuel Hedbom sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Ekberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. George Persson charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed George Persson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th match minute, Åhus IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Persson to maneuver through the defense. Arman Alén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, George Persson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Åhus IF booed when Kristinehamn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Åke Fredriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th match minute, Kristinehamn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Karlstedt to maneuver through the defense. Arman Alén took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casper Bredberg. Casper Bredberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Sebastian Pilgren kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the game, Michel Falkrantz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kristinehamn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Åhus IF the free kick. After 44 played minutes Kristinehamn got a freekick which was hit by Michel Falkrantz. Samuel Hedbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Martin Ekberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Ekberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Persson, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when George Persson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Martin Ekberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Möllgren in the 52nd minute. In the 58th minute, Arman Alén left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kristinehamn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After 64 minutes, Gert Byström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åhus IF and the Kristinehamn players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th minute, one of Åhus IF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Åhus IF. The referee gave Kristinehamn a penalty, 65 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jens-Ola Berggren, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Åhus IF's Casper Bredberg. 5-0. Kristinehamn's Thomas Karlstedt got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Åhus IF's zone, Thomas Karlstedt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Bredberg came out of the goal and Thomas Karlstedt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute Arman Alén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Bredberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Åhus IF's goal looked a bit too open when Arman Alén came free, but Casper Bredberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Arman Alén left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kristinehamn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. 90 minutes into the match, Åhus IF's Samuel Hedbom sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Ekberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Casper Bredberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arman Alén in the 91st minute of play. Thomas Karlstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casper Bredberg having to interfere. There was no doubt that Kristinehamn were the better team. Kristinehamn's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
