Verner Göransson hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Joakim Öberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gunnar Westerberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joakim Öberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Gunnar Westerberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixten Wassenius, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Joakim Öberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Gunnar Westerberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Urban Bäcklin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Johansson having to interfere. Claes Johansson made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Ulrik Söderberg sent off a good shot on target. Claes Johansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urban Bäcklin in the 26th minute of the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sixten Wassenius to make the kick off. Ulrik Söderberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Johansson having to interfere. Hammarstrand's Claes Johansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulrik Söderberg in the 54th minute of play. In the 56thth minute of the game Urban Bäcklin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hammarstrand's Claes Johansson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 57th minute, Torsten Bergman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Urban Bäcklin spun around in front of the goal 58 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Hammarstrand's goal. After a defensive mix-up in Hammarstrand's zone, Urban Bäcklin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claes Johansson came out of the goal and Urban Bäcklin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Urban Bäcklin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Tomas Persson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute, Joakim Öberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hammarstrand fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Joakim Öberg came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Hammarstrand fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joakim Öberg couldn't finish the play. Pelle Svanström hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Sixten Wassenius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Westerberg having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Urban Bäcklin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Johansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Hammarstrand getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Torsten Bergman hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hammarstrand had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
